Drive Your Dream Vehicle Home

Purchasing a car shouldn't drain your personal savings. Auto loans allow you to preserve your cash flow while driving off the lot immediately.

In India, car loans are highly standardized but finding the bank that offers the best Loan-to-Value (LTV) on the *on-road* price rather than just the *ex-showroom* price makes a massive difference in your out-of-pocket expenses. Sahyog Tax & Advisory helps you navigate bank options, ensuring you get flexible tenures (up to 7 years), minimal processing fees, and the absolute lowest interest rates based on your CIBIL score and ITR profile.

Maximum LTV: 90% - 100% (On-Road)
Maximum Tenure: Up to 7 Years (84 Months)
RTO RC Status: Hypothecated to Bank
Hypothecation: When you buy a car on loan in India, the RTO officially endorses the bank's name on your RC Book. This is removed only after full repayment via Form 35.

Types of Vehicle Loans

New Car Loans

Get up to 100% on-road funding for a brand new vehicle directly from the showroom. Enjoy the lowest interest rates and longest repayment tenures.

Used Car Loans

Financing for pre-owned vehicles. Banks will evaluate the car's current market value and usually fund 70% to 80% of its depreciated worth.

Commercial Vehicle Loans

Designed for logistics companies and fleet operators. Fund heavy trucks, buses, or commercial transport vans to scale your business operations.

Electric Vehicle (EV) Loans

Specialized loans for green vehicles. Enjoy slightly lower interest rates and claim tax deductions up to ₹1.5 Lakhs under Section 80EEB of the IT Act.

Vehicle Refinance

Transfer your existing high-interest car loan to a new bank, or take a "Top-Up" personal loan against the equity of a car you already own.

How the Auto Loan Process Works

Understanding the exact workflow from the showroom floor to the RTO office.

1 Proforma Invoice

You select your vehicle at the dealership and ask for a 'Proforma Invoice'—a document detailing the exact Ex-Showroom price, RTO taxes, and insurance.

2 Margin Money

Based on your profile, the bank sanctions the loan. You pay the remaining balance (known as Margin Money or Downpayment) directly to the dealer.

3 Direct Disbursal

The bank does not give the loan money to you. They disburse the sanctioned amount via RTGS directly into the dealership's bank account.

4 Delivery & RTO

You take delivery of the car. The RTO registers the vehicle in your name, but adds a legal Hypothecation (HP) status favoring the lending bank.

Benefits of Auto Financing

Affordable EMIs

Spread the massive upfront cost of a vehicle into small, predictable monthly payments that do not disrupt your lifestyle.

Flexible Tenure

Choose a repayment window from 1 year to 7 years. Shorter tenures save interest, while longer tenures keep your EMIs low.

Competitive Interest Rates

Because the car acts as collateral for the bank, auto loans offer interest rates much lower than standard personal loans.

Faster Processing

With a good CIBIL score and verified ITRs, car loans can be sanctioned and disbursed in as little as 24 to 48 hours.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is Margin Money?

Margin money (or downpayment) is the difference between the total On-Road price of the car and the amount the bank is willing to finance. You must pay this margin money directly to the dealership before the bank disburses the loan.

How is the loan recorded by the RTO?

When you buy a car on loan, the Regional Transport Office (RTO) adds a "Hypothecation" (HP) endorsement to your Registration Certificate (RC). This signifies the car is pledged to the bank. Once you repay the loan, the bank issues an NOC and Form 35 to cancel this endorsement.

Can I get 100% financing for a car?

Many banks offer 100% financing on the Ex-Showroom price of the car. However, securing 100% financing on the full On-Road price (which includes RTO taxes and insurance) is rare and reserved only for customers with exceptional CIBIL scores and high-income profiles.

Can I pre-close my car loan?

Yes, you can prepay your car loan before the tenure ends. However, unlike home loans, banks usually charge a foreclosure penalty (typically between 2% to 5% of the outstanding principal) for early closure of auto loans.
